In getting this project off the ground, I’ve craved a local group with which to brainstorm on project ideas & to get pumped on the documentary craft.
The Docs In Progress program at GWU fits that bill. Tomorrow they host their bi-monthly event where selected documentary filmmakers (both inside or beyond the Beltway) …share their unfinished works with a local DC audience. Afterwhich, the forum offers feedback to each filmmaker. Suggested donation is $5.
It’s an excellent tool to learn more technical points on visually telling a story. I love it — candid, enthusiastic folks scratching their documentary itch.
