Building interview pipeline: Austin’s SXSW

Laina Dawes, BlogHer contributing editor, hosts a panelist discussion at this year’s SXSW conference in Austin.

I’ve never attended. Yet events and panels look diverse: Web 2.0 + programming/tech and progress or lack thereof with social networking sites. I’m wondering if this would be an interesting place to find interview leads for Living with Geeks; it’s unclear however how many core programmers it attracts, let alone their domestic partners.

Austin is the hip town of the Southwest, however.

What say you about SXSW’s technical/new media appeal?
